With new awareness, we realize the growing need for security and protection and try to reconcile it with the desire for adventure and freedom in Nature's open spaces. We need to reconsider the way we live together and the impact our choices have on the future of our planet.

 

 

Inspiration for the new AW mood arose from these thoughts, with the idea of an active and solitary journey on the road, in "van life" style, through relaxing Nordic landscapes, exploring unknown and less frequented destinations.

We rediscover the enchantment of Nature in everyday life, soaking in the hot springs, witnessing the magical northern lights, picking wild fruits in the woods and observing its small inhabitants. A journey in a hygge atmosphere, where the enjoyment of simple things has a therapeutic effect on body and mind, and which leads us, at its end, to reconnect with a new harmony to celebrate together in an authentic, warm and sparkling Christmas aura.

 

 

Momoni's AW 22/23 Collection is designed to be versatile, following the stages of a journey in a relaxing atmosphere, with comfy-chic apparel suitable for the harshest winters, with softer total looks with functional elegance.

 

Camouflowers of herbs and wild flowers on silk twill lead us through bucolic nature, while ecoprinting-style motifs on relaxed volumes evoke flowers collected and left to dry between the pages of a newspaper as a souvenir. 

 

Relaxed, enveloping silhouettes feature kaleidoscopic botanical motifs of berries, acorns and small squirrels. The cells of a beehive inspire geometric shapes with a retro aesthetic in warm tones of honey and madder red on long shirtdresses and maxi shirts.

 

 

Shades of twilight are reflected on gathered dresses and shirts in light as air viscose silk, to be paired with soft bouclé knitwear with a chunky look, in organic wool and sustainable alpaca.

Prints on crêpe de chine capture the glow of the northern lights on a cold winter night or draw inspiration from elements of Nordic folk art such as Dala horses, also featured on romantic full-fashioned jacquard knitwear. The sensual, comfortable appeal of silk satin is enhanced by mirrored masculine pinstripes and rich botanical prints that capture little woodland insects and leaves in a gust of wind.

 

 

Fluid volumes in crinkled wool fabrics enriched by openwork lurex inserts and feminine dresses and blouses in washed silk twill in vibrant colors are the ideal complements for heavier weights such as cotton and wool blend denim, peachskin gabardine and three-piece suits in yarn dyed wool with a masculine flavour.

 

 

New fabrics such as cotton seersucker flannel, or cold-dyed corduroy with a countrified texture, are a fresh, up to date homage to Nordic apparel, reflected also in Norwegian jacquard knits with hand-tied fringes and cable-knit knitwear in ripped alpaca yarn. 

 

 

Outerwear includes versatile Scandi-cool double face wool, oversized volumes in soft Casentino wool in vibrant shades, but also apparel with a military flavor such as the maxi coat in compact wool cloth with double hand-warmer pockets and the field jacket, with its, adventurous, retro appeal, in a denim-effect wool/cotton blend lined with faux shearling.

Bold accessories, such as moccasins in smooth leather with chunky rubber soles are undoubtedly one of the best pieces in this collection. A classic silhouette that never goes out of style that will suit your preppy yet playful mood.
