Charming and durable, the Jacksons bags are designed by Louise in Notting Hill, London. They are lovingly handknotted by talented artisans in south-west Bangladesh using an ancient macramé technique and dyed with azo-free dyes. The bags are made of the "golden fibre of Bangladesh," and are therefore 100% vegan. The jute fibre is harvested by hand without the use of machinery.

Since 2012, 5000 women have been working in an area where there are only a few opportunities to earn a living. The women are paid directly, which gives them independence and status, as well as free access to schools and medical care for themselves and their children. A large percentage educate their daughters up to grade 6 some go on to university. This would have been impossible just six years ago! Louise personally oversees the project.
