And what’s more reminiscent of a picnic in Provence or in the city park, than Brigitte Bardot in “Voulez-vous danser avec moi?”, wearing that French Vichy Pattern in blue and white? In1953 the French actress was posing on the cover of ELLE magazine in a frilly pink-checkered dress, making the Vichy trend more popular than ever! Known as gingham in the UK, La Robe Vichy became the ultimate synonym of sunshine, rural charm, fresh air and tousled hair!
